Count Charitable Foundation (CCF)

In May 2004, COUNT launched the CCF and it is recognised by the Australian Tax Office as a Charitable Trust.

The objectives of CCF are to:

• Accumulate Capital so as to make substantial donations to people in need.
• Provide an easy and accessible way for Count Advisors and their clients to realise
  their charitable intentions.
• Encourage philanthropy for the benefit of the Australian Community

CCF used the donations it receives each year to support community groups and people in need.

The Foundation focuses on the following 6 core areas:

• Health/Medical Research & Prevention
• Welfare
• Behavioural Education
• Environment Preservation & Protection
• Overseas Aid/Charities
• Natural Disasters
• Animal Welfare

MonSTaR Foundation

Originally conceived during a round of golf in 2006 and a discussion about giving to those in need,
MonSTaR was born and has since grown into a registered charity that primarily supports sufferers of and research into Motor Neurone Disease (MND) while also providing funds to enable special needs teachers
to work in mainstream pre-schools. This assists children with intellectual disabilities to socialise and
learn with other children.

The Foundations specifically supports the following charities:

Motor Neurone Disease Association NSW

The Association aims to provide & promote the best possible support for people living with motor neurone disease, their families and carers, to advance research and to raise awareness.

Motor neurone disease is the name given to a group of rapidly progressive degenerative neurological diseases that cause increasing and complex levels of disability leading to death, usually within five years of diagnosis.

The most common form of MND is amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).

STaR Association

When parents realise that their child's development is not progressing in line with age-appropriate norms they face concerns about the child's present and future.  They want access to high quality services for their children and to information and support for themselves.  They want opportunities for their children to reach their potential and for their own involvement in decisions about day-to-day learning and the transition to school.  They want their children to be accepted and included in a community that values and becomes more knowledgeable about difference.  Access, opportunity and acceptance are what the STaR (Special Teaching and Research) Association represents.

STaR is a small organisation, which provides early intervention support for children with disabilities and their families within mainstream childcare centres. The support they have received from the MonSTaR Foundation has been fundamental to their growth and has enabled them to expand to 12 centres, supporting 35 children across Sydney.
